it’s been like forty something days since i’ve made music. explains a lot about how i am right now. that changes today.

fifteen minutes of me figuring out a song.

i usually find something on guitar i like, then play the shit out of it. i’ll play it till i can play it w/ out thinking about it. i’ll find a chorus after that, then i’ll go back and forth from the chorus to freestyling lyrics for it. sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn’t at all. it has a lot to do w/ how i feel, mostly meaning how safe i feel to unfilter my face. where i won’t feel judged. where there are no consequences. i have a billion thoughts bouncing around and honestly don’t always know what i’m saying till i’m halfway through a sentence. it’s why i don’t like to drink so much anymore. this is one of those rare occasions of pure honesty.
